Wear a long-sleeved top and running trousers, preferably made of a synthetic fabric such as nylon or spandex, which don’t hold water. Specialist sportswear for Muslim women, such as Friniggi garments, are ideal.
Expect to encounter oozing mud in vast quantities. There will be no escaping it, so bring a change of clothes for afterwards.
When you’re not climbing, crawling, jumping and swinging, you’ll be running, jogging or walking. While you will want to make sure you wear shoes that you can run in, don’t wear your best, brand new trainers.
You won’t have crawled this much since you were a baby. Be prepared to crawl through tunnels and under barbed wire or colourful bunting. In the mud.
Some people like to take on obstacle courses in fancy dress. If you do decided to wear something more formal in the Eid party theme, you should train at least a few times while wearing it. There’s nothing worse than getting out on the course and realizing that your outfit is just not working for you.
